Herschel Hall of RR 1, Hillsboro, age 76, died Wednesday morning, January 26, in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. He was born at Georgetown, Illinois, August 3, 1906, the son of Moses and Roma Tucker Hall. He first married Helen Hayworth, August 10, 1930. She died October 11, 1963. April 18, 1964, he married Ruby Shuff Bodine, who survives.

  Hall was serving as president of the Hillsboro own Board and had been employed at Hillsboro Hardware. He was a member of Georgetown Christian Church and had served as secretary and president of the Vermillion County Bowling Association. In 1958, he served as governor of the Moose Lodge in Danville, Illinois. Prior to 1972, he had lived in Covington and Danville, Illinois.
  Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Gene Rippen of Westville, Illinois; a stepdaughter, June Martin of West Lafayette; three stepsons, Maurice Hayworth of Danville, Illinois, Ronald Bodine of Crawfordsville and Robert Bodine of Atlanta, Georgia; four grandchildren, nine step grandchildren, five great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. Thomas Inabinet officiating. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery at Covington. – thanks to S
